Last night I returned from my Texas Adventure Ride out of Junction TX. It was a blast. Several of us guys loaded up our dual sport motorcycles on trailers and headed to Junction. Then we spent three days riding twisty hardtop roads, dusty dirt roads, rocky creek beds, and tricky river crossings. No big tumbles, and we saw a lot of beautiful scenery (I have to admit, that it has taken me a while to consider the hill country ranch land beautiful - but there are hills, trees, and curves in the roads. So it is very different than around here in Harlingen.) We also saw our share of wild animals from snakes to turkeys and much more in between. I know there are plans in the works to do this again soon. You can count me in.

You find it hard to see beauty in the Hill Country because you just love the flat areas with cactus and dirt for as far as you can see--right? Good thing you got away......

Steve--this is the second time you have said you're jealous---I think you really want to return to the Valley----Come on down!!
Steve--aren't you close to the hill country?
Thanks to Mark for the Blog to keep up with the McConkeys.
