To the Cross

Last night we had our Communion Candlelight Service to reflect on the last night Jesus had with his Disciples before he went to the cross. Do you realize that as you went to bed and had a good night's sleep and woke up refreshed this morning, that about 2000 years ago Jesus didn't get a chance to go to bed? He was arrested after his meal with his disciples and then went through various trials during the night only to greet the morning with the condemnation of death even though there was not a legitimate charge against him. That is what Jesus did all night for you and me many years ago. Then as morning wore on, he was crucified for our sin. I hope you have a chance to reflect on that today.
